Badger built a reputation in the international mineral-sunscreen and balm market by refusing the shortcuts most personal-care brands take: no chemical UV filters, no synthetic fragrance, no preservative cocktails. Their sunscreens use only non-nano zinc oxide. Their balms read like a kitchen ingredient list (olive oil, beeswax, essential oils). In 2015 they incorporated as a Benefit Corporation, formalising the standard they had already been holding themselves to. Note: Badger Body Care here is the same brand as our Badger collection, separated only by a historical Shopify quirk. Same products, same family, same New Hampshire workshop.

Mineral Sunscreens
Non-nano zinc oxide is the only active ingredient in every Badger sunscreen. No oxybenzone, no octinoxate, no avobenzone, no chemical UV filters of any kind. The zinc sits on the skin and reflects UV rather than absorbing and reacting with it.

Three decades, two generations, still independent. The Whyte family owns and runs Badger out of the same New Hampshire workshop where it started. No private equity, no licensing deals.
