The FLORISH formula is unusual: five Bacillus spore strains (lichenformis, indicus, subtilis, clausii, coagulans) delivered with fulvic acid as the carrier. Spore probiotics survive stomach acid in their dormant form and germinate in the small intestine, which solves the viability problem that plagues Lactobacillus-based products. What makes spore probiotics different from Lactobacillus probiotics?

Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium probiotics are heat and acid sensitive. Most of the live count is killed by stomach acid before reaching the small intestine. Bacillus spores are encased in a protective coat in their dormant form, survive the stomach intact, and germinate in the small intestine where they exert their effect. Different mechanism, different shelf-life behaviour, different clinical use.

What does FLORISH do that other probiotics do not?

Spore probiotics primarily work by modulating the existing gut microbiome (encouraging diversity, suppressing pathogenic species) rather than colonising with their own strains. The fulvic acid carrier adds a mineral-binding and microbiome-substrate layer. The combination is particularly useful in leaky-gut, post-antibiotic, and chronic-inflammation cases where Lactobacillus has not worked.

Is FULFIXER the same as shilajit?

No, but they are related. Shilajit is a natural resin rich in fulvic acid, humic acid, and trace minerals. FULFIXER is a concentrated fulvic acid extract in a standardised dose. Shilajit gives you the whole-spectrum traditional preparation; FULFIXER gives you a known dose of the active fulvic-acid component. They pair well rather than overlap fully.

Why is Sebastian Siebert so much more expensive than supermarket probiotics?

Two reasons: ingredient cost and channel. Spore probiotic strains are significantly more expensive to produce than Lactobacillus strains. Fulvic acid sourcing adds further cost. Are these safe in pregnancy and for children?

FLORISH spore probiotics have a good safety profile in pregnancy and breastfeeding at standard doses. For children, dosing should be reduced and ideally guided by a practitioner. FULFIXER fulvic acid is generally regarded as safe but is less studied in pregnancy; consult your practitioner.

How do I take FLORISH?
