- Hydrolysed means the collagen is enzymatically broken down into smaller peptides that survive digestion better and reach the bloodstream as identifiable di- and tri-peptides like Pro-Hyp and Hyp-Gly.
- Buffered Vitamin C (Calcium Ascorbate) 8.85 g per 100 g serving
- Vitamin C is a required cofactor for the hydroxylation of proline and lysine, which stabilises the collagen triple helix. Calcium ascorbate is buffered, so it does not irritate the stomach lining.
- Lactospore Bacillus coagulans 8.8 billion CFU per serving
- Spore-forming probiotic strain that survives stomach acid and supports gut barrier function in the small intestine where amino acids are absorbed.
