- Isothiocyanate compound from cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, broccoli sprouts, kale). Activates the Keap1-Nrf2-ARE pathway, upregulating expression of antioxidant enzymes (glutathione peroxidase, SOD, catalase) and phase 2 detoxification enzymes. Effect lasts 24 to 48 hours after a single dose due to Nrf2's stable activation cycle.
