Farm-to-bottle organic aromatherapy, from a Zululand farm to your shelf.
Shop now →The story
This matters because the essential oil industry has a documented authenticity problem. Adulteration with synthetic isolates, dilution with carrier oils, and origin fraud are common at the wholesale level. By controlling cultivation and distillation in-house, SOiL can guarantee what is in the bottle matches what is on the label. The certifications (Soil Association, Ecocert, Fairwild) are the paperwork; the vertical integration is the substance behind it.
Pure, powerful, and plant-based. We grow what we sell and we sell what we'd use on our own families. The McMurray Family, SOiL
What makes them different
-
01
Vertical Integration
They farm, distil, blend, and bottle on the same Zululand land. The chain of custody is the family, not a supply network. No anonymous wholesalers in between.
-
02
Organic Certification
Soil Association Organic, Ecocert, and Fairwild certified across the range. The certifications come with audits, soil tests, and supply chain documentation that most aromatherapy brands cannot match.
-
03
Therapeutic Grade
Distillation parameters (temperature, pressure, duration) are tuned per botanical to preserve the volatile compounds that give each oil its character. Frankincense from SOiL smells different to mass-market frankincense because the distillation is different.
-
04
South African Roots
Founded and run from KwaZulu-Natal. The brand exports globally but stays grounded in South African agriculture, Fairtrade pricing, and local employment.

Touring the range
Three doorways into the brand: entry, classic, specialty.
The starter kit single oils
If you are new to aromatherapy, start with three oils that cover most use cases: Lavender (sleep and calm), Eucalyptus Radiata (respiratory), and Lemon (focus and household). Pure, single-botanical, in 10ml bottles.

The blend collection
Once you have the basics, blends solve specific problems with one bottle instead of three. The Sleep blend and Easy Breathe blend are the two most-reached-for after the singles.

The premium singles
Frankincense, Rose Geranium, Roman Chamomile. These are the oils where therapeutic grade vs commercial grade really shows. Smaller bottles, higher price per ml, dramatically different result.
